A Year That Was..

From a beginning a Year with one Prime Minister and ending it with another that is how Australia has come through 2010.

Many changes, many losses, much pain, many tears & heartache.

The Chiliean Mining Disaster brought the world hope whilst the Pine River NZ Disaster brought devastation, loss of loved ones and many, many tears.
Closer to home our hearts still suffer in grief and loss of the Black Saturday fires 7/2/2009. People, Family and land was scared and the memory forever etched in Australia Bush Fire History. Then came the  floods and cyclones and monsoons, hail, never ending rain depressions, overflowing of our dams and cathchments causing devastation to our shores and country towns.
Refugees flood our boarders all year seeking asylum only to find death in stormy conditions in a weak vessel. Oh! what a loss of life- their only purpose, a brighter future in a new country.

We've also enjoyes many gains, many joys, much happiness, many smiles & laughter.

We did not suffer too badly the Global Financial Crisis compared to other nations Thank God! Our budgets a little tighter but our bank balances are thankfully still in the black. Australia's economy is still more or less positive.

Jessica Watson of Australia conquered her goal of sailing solo at age 16, the youngest young girl in history!Proving to the world that nothing is impossible with courage and determination.

Families are closer and friends are special too. No one can see the events of families- torn, broken, loss to tragic accidents and remain detached and at war.

So sing like no one is listening, dance like no one is watching and LOVE like you've never been hurt.

Love God and live life with the thought that this is just a fleeting time what's to come Eternity will only be a part of your life if you give up your life and take up Jesus encouraging words found in the Bible.

I know that I for one am HEAVENBOUND!

It's been anything but quiet on the home front...

well its has been a whirlwind of a month this December 2010 and on the pointy end meaning Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Eve will quite quickly bring us to a new year 2011. And definately for me a Fresh Start.

i look more than forward to the blessings of God upon little old me next year starting with a new permanent full time job and the ability to save, pay and live a stress free life upon this world.

Huge Shout out to all my christian brethren all around the world this Silent Night, Holy Night. Give Glory to the one that loves us so very much he came as a babe to grow into a man to surrender his life for the debt of our sin.

Can't wait till heaven Jesus... Love YOU.

Keeping the Faith

Just a quick note today. As all are preparing for the christmas holiday and consequently the break in school and work we are entitled to here in Australia keep the Faith, Faith in God, faith in goodwill, faith in mankind and most importantly faith for a world living in Peace :-)

It's Friday Fun Day and I am not planning to do a thing! That's right just cruze the day doing things that envolve sitting and watching movies, checking my online messages and might go for a walk later on if I feel like it.

I love days like this to get reconnected with my LORD and seek HIS WILL for my life. Why? Because HE love me first, because he has my back and because my world is found in HIM :-)

I am posting this blog as I am living my last 24 hours in Brisbane my hometown set to leave tomorrow and a very early hour to begin the next chapter of my life in Melbourne Victoria.

Its beginning to feel alot like Christmas - All around the world...

Hello There!

Just as the fireworks are happening down the road from where I am at the moment due to carols by candelight I can say that the whole world is gearing up for Christmas whether it may be a white cold snowfilled one or a sunny hot beachy one :-)

What does it all mean? Christmas? Celebrating Christ? Buying Gifts? Putting up a tree and decorations?

I believe in God with all that I am therefore no one knows for sure when Jesus was born so why December 25th? It is believed that the jewish calender is not like our western culture calender and therefore it would be a better guess to pick March or April as the day to celebrate Christ's birth. But then we have Easter so that wouldn't work right?

Gifts are objects that we give one another to say "hey, thinking of you, love you, you are the object of my affection...." whether its Christmas, Valentines, Easter, Birthdays any excuse really right girls??!!

A tree at christmas and or decorations: I suggest you read Jeremiah yes the book in the Bible around about the middle section of the HOLY BIBLE. You will read enough to know the meaning behind the tree and decoration up to you if you're keen...

Perhaps it is a time to reflect upon the last days of 2010 learn from one's mistakes, share a meal or drinks with those you are close too, shower children with gifts handmade, store bought, less expensive, more expensive depending on your budget.

For me I want to make a difference in my world at the moment it's in Melbourne VIC be a young adult who loves like I've never been hurt, Sing like no one is listening, Dance like no one is watching and LIVE for the glory and honour of my GOD.

So...GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST,AND ON EARTH PEACE TO MEN ON WHOM HIS FAVOR RESTS. LUKE 2:14...

Home Sweet Home

Well Today is quite an eventful day I will be travelling via Plane to Brisbane QLD departing in the evening arriving at the Gold Coast where apparently the it's raining like in the days of NOAH (The Bible)!!

It's a lightning visit as I am due to begin a new job on Thursday in Melbourne Victoria but I will be great to catch up with family and friends and sleep in my own bed Halleluya!!

Can't wait for church tomorrow too it will be a jammed packed few days so no post until I settle down a petal lol!

What a day in Wonderland...

I must say if you want to run into famous people don't go looking for them they are just as regular as you or I and that's what happen to me today in Melbourne CBD at 12:30pm while I was making a phone call at a pubilc booth A car pulls up and MR MARK WEBBER Formula One Driver for Australia steps out gets and spontaneous applause and goes into a book shop to do what every ordinary person does shop!!!LOL!!!

I am pleased to say as tempting as it was I did not ask for an autograph but took a pic on my phone just to prove I really did see him he he.

Other than that it was a very wet, rainy, stormy day but I landed a job spontaneously so ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD Matthew 19:26 The Bible.

Hence my title my own personal wonderland when things were bleak God reigned down on lil ol me.

November in Melbourne VICTORIA Australia

Well Hello & Welcome to my first blog on Que Pasa Con Eli Casas.
It's the last day of November and with it comes the beginning of one
of the most favourite months of the year DECEMBER. I am going
back home to Brisbane QLD on Saturday God Willing for a chockablock
Month of Concerts, Birthdays, Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years Eve!
No time to sit and smell the roses he he...So as I depart Melbourne I
can say that It's been a month of much km in my car, much joy, smiles, laughter
also pain, loss, missing my family, friends and a special guy. Beautiful
Breathtaking views in the Alpine Region of Victoria, Bright is a beautiful
safe haven for me always in my heart and prayers...Mt Hotham, Beechworth,
Mytrleford and Albury Wodonga I will be back soon promise! Melbourne gave
me city dwelling and beautiful serene beaches.. Phillp Island, Altona, Cranbourne,
Tenby Point, Koo Wee Rup and finally CBD. So I will miss my new found
friends and see you soon in the new year OMG 2011!!
